About Dr. Vivek Jain

Dr Vivek Jain is a Paediatric Neurologist based in Jaipur and has developed this website to reach and interact with people directly and also provide information about common paediatric neurological disorders which is not easily available in our country at present.
Dr Jain did his MBBS from SMS Medical College, Jaipur in 1996. He subsequently did MD in Paediatrics from the Advanced Paediatric centre in PGI, Chandigarh in 1999 followed by three years of Senior Residency in Paediatrics in the same institute. Soon after he moved to United Kingdom to gain experience in Paediatric Neurology in 2003.
In United kingdom he had pursued four year of higher specialist training programme in Child neurology at four major Paediatric Neurology centres in United Kingdom (Leeds General infirmary in Leeds, Birmingham Children Hospital, Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow and Tayside Children Hospital in Dundee) leading to British Board (CCT) in Paediatric Neurology.

After completing his specialist certification in Child Neurology he had pursued Neurophysiology fellowship in prestigious Institute of Neurological Sciences in Southern General Hospital in Glasgow in 2010. He was responsible for reporting Paediatric EEGs, BERA, nerve conduction studies and performing Electromyograms (EMGs).
This was followed by a year spent as Uncle Bob Paediatric Neurology fellow in the renowned Children’s Neurosciences Centre in Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne in 2011. Uncle Bob Paediatric Neurology fellowship is the most coveted Paediatric Neurology fellowship in Australia and he was one of the first overseas doctors to be awarded with it.
Inspite of being away for 9 years, he had always wanted to return to India to contribute to the care of our little patients with neurological problems.
Hence on his return Dr Jain had joined as a Consultant in Paediatric Neurology in renowned P.D Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. But He was aware of the need for trained Paediatric Neurologists not only in Jaipur but also whole Rajasthan and hence decided to move to his hometown Jaipur to contribute to the development of the speciality.

In 2012, in recognition of attainment of high standard of education and training and commitment to health and welfare of children he was elected to the prestigious Fellowship of Royal college of Paediatrics & Child health (FRCPCH) of United Kingdom.
